Colored Noodles

What You'll Need
Noodles
Rubbing Alcohol
Food Coloring
Ziploc Baggy or Bowls

1. Use one baggy or bowl for each color of noodles you want to make.
2. Place the desired number of noodles in the baggy or bowl.
3. Pour enough rubbing alcohol so all the noodles are covered.
4. Add a generous amount of food coloring to each container of noodles.
5. Put these aside and let them sit until they are the desired color. This can take hours, and the longer they sit, the brighter the colors.
6. When the noodles have reached the desired color, remove them from the baggy or bowl and lay them in a single layer on paper towels to dry.
7. Use these noodles to decorate frames, artwork, personal items, jewelry, anything you’d like!

Macaroni Mosaic

What You'll Need
Macaroni
Food coloring
Water
Plastic cups
Glue
Paper
Pencil or markers
Paper towels
Strainer
Cookie sheet (optional)

Note:
This craft requires preparation a day in advance.
1. Use one plastic cup for each color of macaroni you want. Fill each cup 3/4 full with water, add some drops of food coloring and stir.
2. Add some macaroni to each cup and let it soak for about 20 - 25 minutes. Stir the macaroni a few times to keep it from sticking together.
3. Pour the contents of each cup into the kitchen strainer (one cup at a time), and lay the macaroni out on paper towels to dry. It is a good idea to have the paper towels on something like a cookie sheet so you won't stain your countertop with the food coloring.
4. Let the macaroni dry overnight.
5. Draw your design on a piece of paper. It can be a landscape, some crazy aliens, or just a neat pattern. You will be using the macaroni to fill in the color.
6. Once the macaroni is dry, "color" your picture with the different colored macaroni. Fill in the spaces with macaroni and glue each piece down to the paper. Fill in as much or as little as you like. Now that you are done you can show off your artistic talents to your friends!

Pet Rocks

What You'll Need
Rocks of different shapes and sizes
Paint
Paint brush

1. Collect some smooth, medium sized rocks.
2. Wash all the dirt off the rocks and dry them off.
3. Look very closely at the rocks you have collected and try to imagine what types of creatures they could be. Use your creativity!
4. Paint eyes, noses, ear, mouths, and any other features that will bring the rock to life.
Now, all that's left to do is to give your new pet a name. How about Rocky or Mr. Stone?!?
Tip:
to keep the paint from rubbing off, you can coat the rock with clear varnish.

Puffy Spiders

What You'll Need
Black pompoms
Googly eyes
Felt
Glue
Scissors
Black thread
Sewing needle (optional)

1. For each spider, choose a black pompom the size you want.
2. Cut out four thin strips of felt to use as legs.
3. Glue the center of each felt strip to the bottom of the pompom . This makes eight legs.
4. Glue two googly eyes to the front of the pompom. Now you have a spider!
5. Cut a piece of thread and thread it through a needle. Tie a knot at one end of the thread. Push the needle through the center of the pompom from bottom to top, and pull the thread through.
6. Now you can hang your spider.
Tip:
If you don't want to use a needle, you can tie the thread to the pompom, or secure it with glue.

Tissue Paper Flowers

What You'll Need
Tissue paper
Pipe cleaner
Construction paper
Scissors
