Cheese Noodles

What You'll Need
1 small box any type noodles
1 cup milk
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Salt and pepper (optional)

 

 

1. Cook the noodles according to the directions on the box, and drain them.
2. Pour the milk in the pan.
3. Add the cheddar cheese, and heat some more.
4. Add any salt and pepper to taste.
Tip:
Try this recipe with other flavors and types of cheese. Some will melt better than others.  

Doodle Bug Ice Cream Critters Milkshake

What You'll Need
2 Scoops of ice cream
2 Gummy worms
1 Tablespoon of chocolate syrup
2 Oreo cookies (crushed) 
2 Strawberries (sliced)
1/2 Cup milk
1/2 Cup ice (crushed)

 

1. Put ice cream in a blender with the gummy worms and syurp, and blend. 
2. Add the Oreos,sliced strawberries, and milk, and blend some more.
3. After blended well, add ice and pour into a glass and presto! you've got a nice Doodle Bug Ice Cream Milkshake!

Easy Milkshake

What You'll Need
2 scoops vanilla ice cream
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

 

1. Put all three ingredients into a blender and blend at a low speed until mixed. This should take about 10 - 15 seconds. Don't mix it too long or you'll end up with vanilla milk!
2. Pour into a glass and enjoy. It's that easy!
Tip: For other flavors you can add more ingredients, or try different ice cream.
For a chocolate milkshake...
add chocolate sauce. (Use about as much as you would put on a bowl of ice cream.)
For a strawberry milkshake...
add fresh clean strawberries. The more strawberries you add, the more flavorful the shake.
For a mocha flavor...
add chocolate sauce and a teaspoon of instant coffee.

 

Homemade Pancakes

What You'll Need
1/2 cup milk
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 egg
1 cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt

 

 

1. Beat the milk, butter, and egg lightly in a mixing bowl.
2. Combine the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Add this mixture all at once to the first mixture, and stir enough to dampen flour.
3. Lightly butter or grease a frying pan over heat until moderately heated.
4. Spoon some of the batter into the frying pan. Cook on one side until the bubbles stop popping. Flip and continue cooking briefly on the second side.
5. Continue until you have enough pancakes, or until the batter is done.
Tip:
You can make all sorts of flavored pancakes by adding extra ingredients. Try banana slices, chocolate chips, or strawberry chunks!

 

Italian Pasta

What You'll Need
Pasta
1 / 2 Pound lean ground turkey
1 Red bell pepper, seeded and thinly sliced 
1 Tablespoon paprika 
1 Can (14 1/2 ounce) crushed tomatoes 
1 Can (14 1/2 ounce) reduced-sodium chicken broth 
2 Cups uncooked bow-tie pasta 
2 Cups broccoli florets, washed 
1 Cup cauliflower florets, washed 

Toppings
1/2 Bunch parsley 
1/4 Cup seasoned dry breadcrumbs 
1/4 Cup grated Parmesan cheese 

 

1. Crumble ground turkey into a skillet. Brown over medium high heat for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. 
2. Add red pepper strips and paprika, cook for 2 more minutes.
3. Add crushed tomatoes, chicken broth, and pasta to the skillet. Bring mixture to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
4. Remove the lid and arrange broccoli and cauliflower over the pasta. Replace lid and continue cooking for 10 minutes.
5. Prepare the topping. Pull leaves from parsley stems and combine with breadcrumbs and grated cheese; toss.
6. Sprinkle topping over vegetables in skillet. Let sit for 3 minutes before serving.

Pin Wheel Cookies

What You'll Need
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg yolk
3 tablespoons milk
1 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 ounce chocolate, melted
 

 

1. Cream butter and sugar together; then add egg yolk and beat well.
2. Sift dry ingredients, and add to creamed mixture, from step 1, along with milk and vanilla.
3. Divide dough in half.
4. Add chocolate to one part, and chill the dough in the refrigerator.
5. Pat each part of dough into a thin, oblong sheet.
6. Place the chocolate dough over the white dough.
7. Roll tightly, and chill in the refrigerator until firm.
8. Slice into thin cookies.
9. Bake on a greased cookie sheet in the oven at 375 degrees, for 10 minutes.
Note:
You may want to ask an adult how to separate an egg to get just the yolk.  

 

Scones

What You'll Need
2 cups self-rising flour
1/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup shortening
1 egg
1/3 cup milk
2 teaspoons vanilla

 

1. Combine self-rising flour and sugar in a bowl. Stir, mixing thoroughly with a spoon.
2. Add the shortening and blend. Use a pastry blender if you have one, for better mixing.
3. In a separate container, combine the rest of the ingredients.
4. Add the liquid ingredients from step 3 to flour mixture. Stir with a fork until all ingredients are mixed well.
5. Place a few tablespoons of flour on a plate.
6. Drop heaping teaspoons of batter onto the flour, and roll them into balls.
7. Place these balls on an ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten the ball by making a depression in the center.
8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, in an oven preheated to 425 degrees.
