UPDATES ON CHEZNOBBY: new single, new album, my interview, the full transcript of the GM article and this page, obviously. The Chez Nobby official countdown to "Patience".

I think I'm through, too...

It's Saturday, near 3pm, the cold & wet breeze pretty much captures my mood this afternoon. The wait is over, "Patience" (honestly, the title is a piss-take, right?!) is out and will become the best selling album of 2004, taking over where Dildo... excuse me... Dido stopped with her "Life For Rent". George gets it his way, he leaves with a bang (if you really want to leave with a bang, fuck the duets album. Nobody's interested in hearing Paul McCartney murder "Heal The Pain". It was bad enough hearing Smokey Robinson do whatever it was he did to "Careless Whisper"...)(Come on, that was beyond murder!), retires from promotion and eventually gets his way. He can do as he pleases. Good for him. He's worked for 22 years. He's released four solo records in 17 years. That's one album every 4 1/2 years approximately. Only, it didn't really work out like that, did it. Faith 1987, LWP in 1990, Older in 1996, Patience in 2004. He's right, he deserves a break from the media frenzy and people's expectations. He deserves to be left alone. Release songs to the internet so it can be a 'steady flow of songs'. *Nodding* Yeah...

Having met George several times last year, I have nothing but great things to say about him as a person. He was nothing but a sweetheart to me. I don't recognize that guy from the one I've been listening to and reading about the past, what, month. In the beginning it was on the verge of insanity, now it's cooled down. Maybe he's taken to heart what's been said around on the net. Though I still miss more music-related questions. An 'all about the music' piece. (I find it quite amazing that non-of the questions I had have been asked yet. Who would have thought I'd be that original...) Doesn't matter now.

I've finally realised that I don't belong in this industry. At least not in England. I can't write like some of these tabloid 'journalists' do, mentioning 'giving head in a public loo' or whatever else is on the menu this week, before going into the 'news', being something as interesting as 'by the way, George is gay and dating a Texan' or 'George having dinner with friends'. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one interested in the talent behind the person. VH-1 used to have a series with musicians called "Behind the music". What about "The music behind the man"? I don't give a shit about who Robbie Williams fucks, if Elton takes it up the arse or if Geri Halliwell can skate or not. Why are they here? Cause they make music. Supposedly. Why are we interested in them? Apparently not because of that...

I've met a lot of great people through this industry. I've bex; c :#xPSext-decoration: none} .header4 {font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: 28px; color: #000000; text-decoration: none} -->

My Commentaries

Guilty Of Musical Murder (Elton John vs Blue)

Is the music industry about the music anymore? (state of music etc)

Moulin Rouge (movie/soundtrack)

Duvet-peaking A new national sport? ('gimme your life, I want it...')

Who has got the (remote) control? (battle of the sexes)
