Greatest Hits
In November 1998 he released a double album - his greatest hits. "Ladies and gentlemen, the best of George Michael." It contains 29 of his best songs, and in one week it sold 300.000. copies in England ONLY. And it´s the bestselling double album in one week ever! This is the cover of the CD:

He made new song and a new video - "Outside." A couple of clips from the video.

This made a couple of people gasp for air:

He also has a duet with Mary J.Blige on the UK version of the best of-album, but the people who was making the decisions for Mary didn't want her on George's album - because he'd been arrested for "lewd act" earlier that year and "came out" to the world. This would destroy Mary's image, someone meant, and therefore there's no "As" on the US version. Too bad for the US fans - as the single wouldn't be released eighter.

The song is a cover of Stevie Wonder's old song, and they did a terrific job with the video. First it's George walking into a bar singing, and then you see hundreds of Georges and Marys walking around in the bar singing together. (Where the h*** is that place???) It took 1500 hours of after-work to do it, but the result was great! Way to go, George!!! :-)
