Once, Father Lal met an old lady and asked her if this was the way to Tyope's temple. 
She answered: "No", and then simply walked on. He shouted after her: "Old lady!" 
Then she stopped and turned around. Then Father Lal realized she was not a true TEUNC
and walked on to to reach the temple before night fell and the Smurrows came out.

And Gandalf said, "Balrogs may pass over the land with winged speed."

"But Gandalf," said the Hobbit, "Does that mean that they can fly? And don't
you need wings for that?"

And Gandalf said, "Balrogs may be cast down in ruin from a high place."

"But Gandalf," said the Hobbit, "Does that mean that Balrogs cannot fly? And
if they cannot fly, then why would they have wings?"

And Gandalf said, "Mercy! If the giving of information is to be the cure of
your inquisitiveness, I shall spend the rest of my days in answering you.
What more do you want to know?"

"The names of all the stars, and of all living things, and the whole history
of Middle-earth and Over-heaven and of the Sundering Seas," said the Hobbit,
"Of course! What less?"

"Very well," said Gandalf, "Let me begin..."

And so in this way the Hobbit attained Enlightenment.
