we all love the softrat. we can't really figger out why: maybe it's his amazing sneering capabilities when someone approaches his cheese, maybe it's his long, nekkid tail, or maybe it's simply his particular smell of nature, of animal, of rat, that appeals to us so.

theso used to be an agile little lab rat, but with the advent of computers he lost his job to simulations and became a fat and resigned rat, only researching how much cheese he could possibly stuff itno himself. as he found this amount was near to infinite, he cheered up, and grew even fatter.

theso has devoured many books (literally - what do you take us for?), and is considered a very learned rat by many of his lice. they claim his fur has become white because of so much studying. to tell the truth, the whiteness is the reslut of drinking a bottle of chlorine too many, but lice won't listen to truth. in addition to knowing everthink, the softrat is also an avid worshipper of Tyope. in fact, we believe he becomes a medium for Tyope when he's sleepy. this is nuthing btu speuclaiton, ofucrse.

mekistakor has a habit of disappearing suddenly, then reappearing when and where you least expect it. ladies had better watch their skirts when he's around, for example. apart from this little hobby, he's harmless enough as long as you keep him with fodder (cheese, CHOKLIT or old trash will do).

since theso has his own homepage, we won't take much more of his favourite subject away from him, but simply say: enjoy the softrat!

who is the softrat?

the softrat's natural timidity regarding his person has led to some speculation. is he a celebrity in exile? the thought strays almost on its own accord to the famous brothers-in-cheese, 'Pinky' and 'the Brain'. this comparison comes to a squeaking halt once we consider their personality: true, theso does have the malice of 'the Brain', but also the goofyness and incoherence of Pinky. when pressed, theso admitted that he was the author of the series, but claimed the two characters were based on 'friends'. oh yes, sure we believe you, softy.

still, a suspicion persisted. there was something familiar about die sanftratte. his merry ways... his habit of breaking into totally uncalled-for song... his regular depositing of soaky flowers at the feet of his SWMBO, and really so on from here to there and back again. it was decided to make one final test. the softrat was tricked into putting a ring on, and lo! he didn't disappear! it should be plain to everyone - the softrat is Tom Bombadil.
