At the pictures abowe you can se me and one of my early Ibizan friends, Sinsline Konstanze, she's now living in USA.

My kennel name is El-Cruzado, which is Spanish for "the crusader". This name was chosen because in my first litter, born in 1994, little  Antonio  was born with a beautiful white cross on his neck - a true crusader.

My first Ibizan Hound I got in 1988, a smooth coat male named Rosenhill`s Damascena Ispahan. One year later my second Ibizan Hound, Rosenhill`s Floribunda Sarabande (Sara), came to me. She was a wire coat.

I was planning to mate the two of them, as back then most Scandinavian breeders mixed coats. Eventually we got a regulation against such combinations, so both my Ib's had to get out on the "market" to find their own partners.

In 1994 Sara had a litter of eight, where two puppies was smooth even though Sara herself was from wired parents and was mated with a wire. This tells us a bit about the importance of keeping the coat varieties apart. By going on mixing coats we might end up loosing the true wire quality.

My goal is to create a pure wire bloodline with our wonderful and very kind dogs. Cecilie Brauer and I imported in 2000 the Spanish male Melqart's Valenciano "Sano", in June 2002 the next Spanish import, Melqart`s Alfafara "Alfa", arrived to kennel 'El-Cruzado. Antonio and Alfa had 7 lovely children in June 2003.

A second Spanish girl, Melqart's Tizona III "Tess", came here in January 2003, who because of our import regulations spent her childhood at kennel Snout with Arja Pellinen and Arvo Hyytiä.

We are planning a love meeting for Tess and Pasquinalle, hoping for puppies in the summer 2006.
