FRANTIC *BLEEP* NEWS.
*June/July 2003*
Things are happening in the *bleep* camp people.
Record Deal:
We have signed a record deal with The End Records and our debut album will be
recorded this fall. We are very excited about working with The End. We were
lucky enough to get more than one offer, and we think we made the right choice
when we decided to work with The End Records.
Debut Album:
The way things look at the moment, we will start to record in September/October
and we hope to get finished sometime around x-mas or new year . The record will
be out sometime early next year (we hope..).
The album will be licenced by Earache Records in europe . That is in many ways
an historical thing, since Earache has never before licenced an album before. We
are very happy(and surprised) about this.
We are currently working with Pre-Production of the new songs. The album will
have nine tracks and only the track "Mandaughter" from the demo(fluctuadmission)
will be re-recorded on the album. The new songs are heavier, with more dynamics
and with a better flow. We will finish up the songs/pre production during the
summer.
The artwork will be created by Christian Ruud, who also did the artwork for
Madder Mortem's two last records.
The End Compilation:
The song "Fluctuadmission" will be featured on the upcoming compilation album
from The End records. We have also recorded an exclusive new song that "might"
be on another compilation from The End. This song will not be on the debut
album.
Line up:
Karl Arthur Renstrøm has decided to leave the group, because of personal
reasons(as always). There is no hard feelings between us because of
this(blablabla..)*bleeeep*. On the bright side, we are currently rehearsing with
a new drummer which has turned out great so far, more info to come.
Various:
We have added some cool reviews of our demo, and also a couple of interviews (the
"streets zine" interview has now been translated).
Please feel free to check out the new Frantic Bleep Forum to talk about
everything(and nothing), ask questions etc..
You can also download a cool "Fluctuadmission" Wallpaper by Christian Ruud here.
We do not send out copies of the demo anymore. RED SKIES mailorder might have a
few copies left here.
*February 2003*
Paul Mozart Bjørke and his main band Madder Mortem will be touring europe with
swedish metal gods Opeth in February and March. Patrick Scantlebury will also be
on the tour as guitar tech and merchandiser. The tour kicks of in France, Sunday
09.02. and visits Portugal, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Germany,
Netherlands, Belgium, the UK and Scotland before it ends in Ireland, Wednesday
19.03. For the full tour list please visit www.maddermortem.com.
We are currently writing and demoing new songs. We are very enthusiastic about
the new material ,and we are going for a quite massive production this time
around. We are not sure if the next official recording will be a demo or an
album, but a couple of labels have shown their interest in us. We are not
expecting anything ,but if anyone decides to sign us they will get a better band
than the demo shows.
Our demo "Fluctuadmission" has been included in RED SKIES mailorder catalog. So
if you want a copy, but dont wanna bother us(we might bite you know!), you can
order it from them here.
You can check out the first reviews of our demo here. We will also update the
homepage frequently with reviews and interviews during the upcoming weeks.
Update: Ø.S 14/2-03.
