ISSUE 1 (winter 1996, 56 pages, 150
copies). SOLD OUT!
The work on this first issue started in
autumn '95, the layout was crap (mostly done in Word) and some
pages were typed on a typewriter. Xeroxed and stapled, it had a
very limited print-run of 150 copies, all which sold out in a
few weeks time, and still it remains the only issue which is
sold out - so far. Also note the incredibly ugly logo which was
drawn by the editor and discarded after the 2nd issue.
Interviews with: Fossor, Alastis, Godsend, Gehenna, Primigenium,
Bård "Faust" Eithun, Bethzaida, Opera IX,
Covenant/Troll, Strid, Paradigma, Mightiest/Depressive Silence,
Dimmu Borgir, Liar of Golgotha.
Album/demo/zine reviews as well as some
poems and an article on H.P. Lovecraft.

ISSUE 2 (February 1997, 26 pages, 500
copies)
This one was done in QuarkXpress (v.3 I
think), with good help from my friend Torstein Parelius, and it
was actually pro-printed, which was a one off thing until issue
6. The thinnest FB issue printed, it featured interviews with Morbid Angel, Immolation, Ever Dark, Rotting
Christ, Under Black Clouds, Waylander, Niflheim, Retalliation and Withering Surface. Album/demo and zine
reviews.

ISSUE 3 (winter/spring 1998, 42 pages, 300
copies). SUPPRESSED.
The third issue was a big disappointment as
it was totally fucked up at the printer's shop. A few copies
were sent out to the bands interviewed and to some labels - the
rest has been destroyed. Too bad though as the contents wasn't
all bad. Interviews with Twin
Obscenity, Lord Kaos, Usurper, Frost, Misery, Ancient Rites,
Turbonegro, Angelcorpse, Windam Hell
and Allegiance.
Album/demo/zine reviews. The first issue to
feature demo reviews separated from the albums.

ISSUE 4 (winter 1999, 46 pages, 300 copies
- I think)
With the exception of a couple of sections
which was hard to read due to sloppy layout work (done in Page
Maker - like issue 3, 5 & 6), I'm pretty satisfied with
this issue which was the first one to see FB develop it's own
style as far as the layout was concerned. Lots of killer
artwork in this one as well! Interviews with Dark Funeral, Strutter, Adramelech, Anata, One Last
Sin, Necrophagia, Vermin, Grief of Emerald, Pentacle, Anasarca,
The Crown, Hypnosia, Impact Winter & Maze of Torment. By the way, as you can see we got a new logo
for this issue which was done by Mads Eriksen (also responsible
for the cover and interior art of issues 3,4 & 5 + some art
in issue 6). For norske lesere så kan jeg fortelle at
dette er samme karen som lager Gnom serien i Smult!

ISSUE 5 (May 2000, 38 pages, 300 copies)
With the exception of the new issue (#7),
FB#5 is the one I'm most content with as far as layout goes -
and contents as well. Again, some killer artwork and lots of
graphics - just the way I like it. This was also the first
venture into horror movie territory, something which seemed to
go right home with most readers. Of course, Metal still is the
No. 1 feature and interviews were with Nile, Infernal Majesty, Agressor, Cannibal Corpse,
Burning Inside, Dementor, Hate Eternal, Centinex, Gospel of the
Horns, Throneaeon, Usurper, Myself Am
Hell, Encabulos, Atomizer, Vomitory, Testament, Abbadon
Incarnate + Immolation. Articles on Italian cannibal movies
and the zombie flicks of Lucio Fulci.

ISSUE 6 (winter 2001, 30 pages, 2000
copies)
A great step for From Beyond was taken when
Red Stream offered a publishing deal, rocketing the print-run
up in (for me) unbelievable 2000 copies! This deal meant that
the page count had to be cut down a bit though which didn't
leave so much room for creative layout, though some pages, like
the Necrophagia and Asphyx interviews looks pretty good to me.
Obviously this was pro printed (who'd Xerox 2000 copies
anyway!), but there was a few problems with the layout when it
was transferred to the printer's shop (for instance the cover
which was a bit fucked up). Still nothing to gripe about.
Interviews with: Necrophagia,
Diabolic, Decayed, Darkthrone, Immolation, Morbid Angel,
Asphyx, Vomitory, Nifelheim, Holocausto Canibal, Macabre,
Machetazo and Rebaelliun. Also an article
on Jeff Dahmer in connection with the Macabre interview and
release of the "Dahmer" album.

ISSUE 7 (March 2003, 48 pages, 2000 copies)
Definitely the best one so far, layout wise
taking a huge step (with good help from QuarkXpress and the
QuarkXpress Bible). Due to an abundance of material I had to
cut a good bunch of the interviews, but the one's I had to let
go will be found here on the net (Aeternus, Arkhon Infaustus, Mangled, Flesh Made Sin, Diabolic, Khold and Belphegor). Anyway, those who found their way to the pages
of FB#7 are Deceased (a great, indepth conversation between
King and George of Uhallowed mag), Skitzo,
Vomitor, Abhorrence, Abominator, Judas Iscariot, Kaamos and Mortem. Also a very interesting interview with T.F.
Mous, director of the infamous Men Behind the Sun. Even more
horror this time with an article on Jim VanBebber (with reviews
of his films), Asian horror as presented through Japan Shock
Entertainment and also a DVD review section and a gore comic by
Jake of Tales from Uranus (also responsible for the killer
cover and some interior art)!. Once again we got a new logo -
simple, but it serves it's purpose well I think. Of course
there's the usual album/demo/zine reviews - and a whole lot of
'em - a drunken report from Wacken O.A. 2002!
