Sequence Tempo Change

THE QUESTION: How can I change the tempo of a song that I have already recorded into the sequencer and saved to a floppy disk?
Insert the disk and load the song into the keyboard sequencer. Next press the sequencer MENU key to get the SEQUENCER MENU display and then press CREATE to get the display at the right. Then press STEP RECORD.
Tempo is one of the functions that is placed into the Control Track of the Sequencer. Press the CTL button for track 5 to prepare to change the tempo that is recorded in track 5.
This is the step record display for the Control Track. The control track contains functions such as Start, Stop, Panel Memory changes, etc. When this display first comes up, you should be at measure 1 and the cursor is set to a position before the start of the sequence. Press the CURSOR buttons to the right one step at a time until you see TEMPO as shown (bottom center) at the right. Use the TEMPO buttons to adjust the tempo to the desired setting. Then press EXIT to leave the sequencer edit process. These steps reset the tempo that will be used by the sequencer to start the song.

If you have your panel memory set for Expanded Mode AND if you have set the expanded mode to include tempo changes with each panel memory button change, you will have to reset each panel memory that is used in the sequence to the new tempo that you want for the song. Press the first panel memory button. Then reset the tempo. Then press SET and then the same panel memory button you pressed. Do this for each panel memory you have used in the sequence.

When you have finished these steps, save the file to disk using a new name or disk song position (2 instead of 1 for example). Check the new version by loading it and playing the sequence. Be sure that everything is OK before deleting the original version of the sequence.
