Welcome to my pages written in English!

I can't translate everything on my homepage, but I will translate some of it, eventually! I think you will find some pictures around on my page you can enjoy without understanding a word of Norwegian;-)

Brass Band:

I guess you have noticed that Brass Band is my big hobby. I play in two brass bands (Hasle Brass and Langhus Brass) and I teach students in a school band nearby (Langhus skolekorps). It takes a lot of time, but it is really fun, and you forget all your homework when playing (That's some of the best part of it!) I participate in several Brass Band competitions every year with Hasle Brass and Langhus Brass, and a list of our results are here.

USA and Canada

During 6 months (Christmas 2003 to June 2004) I had the opportunity to take two big trips out of Norway. The first one lastet a month, leaving first day of Christmas 2003. I landed in Spokane, USA, 25 hours after leaving Norway, and I stayed there for 2 weeks visiting relatives (Ruby, Lennis, Ken, Mickey, Bill, Connie, Amanda and many more!) They took me everywhere, skiing in Idaho (-25C!), visiting other relatives and visiting Bill's mother a weekend in Seattle. I also got the chanse to visit Amandas school. Interesting to see how the American school system works. It was two really nice weeks together with my distant relatives! I haven't translated this trip, but you're welcome to look at pictures here.

After two weeks in Spokane I went to New York where I met my sister Heidi. We stayed with Heidi's husband's aunt and cousine living close to Manhattan for one week. It was cold in New York in January, but it was few tourist, so we could do most of the museums without standing in a big cue! We visited the MET, The Museum of Natural History, Ellis Island, Times Squere, The Empire State Building, a gospel churh in Harlem, China Town, the musical "Chicago", and we took a "Sex and the City" bus tour! We ate a lot of good food in town and with Mary and Jill (where we lived). It is kind of tirering visiting New York, so we had enough after a week, so we took the train to Montreal, Canada. Pictures and Norwegian text here.

I was in Montreal with Heidi and Dan (Heidi's husband) for 10 days, mostly shopping;-) We were kind of fed up with museums and tourist-stuff, so we relaxed, slept a lot, wathing a lot of "Sex and the City" on video, and did some shopping (really low prices compared to Norway). We did visit Oratorie St. Joseph, Mount Royal, some Parks, an indoor skaterink, an old church and the Biôdome. Nice city, but it was to cold to be outside in minus 30C for long periods.... Norwegian page about Montreal.
I came home 25. January 2004, and started school the day after! It's great to visit places when tou can stay with people and have local guides! I recomend it!
