CD - RELEASE
LOADER ”MIND FOR A VIEW”
Loader “Mind for a view” CD was to be released early 1994, but thing didn’t work out as planned. The German label AVC Inline Music GMBH, as Loader was contracted to, vanished from the face of the earth along with recorded material and master tapes. The only thing the band had, was one cassette each, containing the master mix. For the next two years Loader’s lawyers and the band themselves tried to get a hold of the material. RIO (Rockens Interesse Organisasjon), and DRV (Deutche Rock Verband), was also participating in this chase, but the bands German contract - partners were not to be found. This took such a big toll on the band, so a decision to put the band on ice was made. During the Whalestock Festival in 1995, Loader was giving their last regular concert / gig. The festival was located in the south east of Norway, outside Fredrikstad. The bands contract with AVC Inline Music contained an agreement for the album to be released in up to 15 countries, with the focus at the Be-Ne-Lux countries and Germany, where the marked for Loader’s kind of heavy metal is at the greatest. There was also an option for two additional releases. The recordings took place in June and July 1993, in Delta Studio, which was owned by Inline Music. This studio are most famous for the recording of
ACCEPT’s “Breaker” album.
As the years passed by, the members of the band was disappointed about the fact that the album project seemed to end unreleased. The band were therefore very happy when it turned out that their beloved cassettes could be restored, and a new master tape could be made. David Johansen and Øistein Kristiansen in the spring of 2004 did this remastering at the
Audiovision Studio in Fredrikstad (N). Tommy Knøsmoen at
Ikon Designbyrå in Sarpsborg (N) designed the cover. The release is made by Loader Inc., which is the four remaining members of the band, and is fully financed by these. The goal is to get a distribution deal for a larger release than what Loader Inc. is capable of doing. Loader will also like to see through the possibilities that this album may bring to the band.
A SHORT HISTOGRAPHY OF THE BAND
The band was founded after the local, and later international band called
ARTCH, which showed that it was possible to fufill the bands big dream to enter the metal scene. Loader was founded in 1985, but it was in 1988 the line-up was completed, and the bands style of heavy metal was developed. Loader entered several national rock (battle of the bands) contests with great responses, Loader made two self - financed demos, which were quickly sold out. The next two demos were entirely made in the purpose of getting signed at a record company. At that time Inline Music contacted the band after reading an article about Loader in the German underground
magazine: Underground
Empire.
During the recording in 1993 the line - up was:
- Bjørn Øyvind Bya (Vocal)
- Morten Hansen (guitar)
- Ronny Svendsen (guitar)
- Frode Steiring (bass)
- Øistein Kristiansen (drums)
By the start of the Loader CD project 2004, Ronny Svendsen was no longer available for the band, and he was replaced by Morten Skute
(Witchhammer and Metal
Thunder).
