Smooth Font Reflection
Step 1: Let's start off by creating a
new document. "File > New", and a box will appear.
Choose whatever size you like. I chose 400x100 pixels and a white background.

Step 2: Now select the Type Tool
and start typing your text in the document you just created.
It should look something like this. (I used the
Eco-Files font)

Step 3: Now duplicate the text by pressing "CTRL + J" OR right click on the text layer and choose "Duplicate Layer"
Step 4: Select the copied layer in the
layers pallet and go to "Edit > Transform > Flip Vertical" at the top bar.
It should look something like this.

Step 5: Lets add the reflection. Double click the copied layer in the
layers pallet OR right click it and choose "Blending Options"
Now click on the "Gradient Overlay" tab at the right and choose the settings as
shown in the picture below.

Step 6: Now, in the picture ABOVE there is a thingy that says,
"Gradient". Click on it and a new window will appear.
Choose the same options as in the picture shown below. (The "Location" will
depend on how big your font is.)
When you are finished click "OK" in both the "Gradient Editor" and "Gradient
Overlay"

Step 7: You still can't see any difference because we need to change the
"Fill Opacity" on the copied layer.
Set the fill opacity to 0% as shown in the picture below.

Step 8: It should look kinda smooth already. But lets add some finishing
touches, by adding some shadows.
So select the Eclipse Marquee Tool
and draw a small eclipse under the main font and fill it with the color black.
You picture should look something like this:

Step 9: With the Shadow Layer selected go to: "Filter > Blur > Gaussian
Blur" and choose a radius of about 5,0 pixels. Click OK

Well, if your picture looks similar to my picture above, you are finished!
This effect will also look very good with a background.
I hope you enjoyed my tutorial and don't forget to wash your grandpa!
