R u l e s

Groups and Fixtures
This tournament will consist of 5 groups of 8 clans each. Top 3 clans in each group plus the best placed 4:th moves on to the playoff stage.

Fixtures will be available prior the start of the tournament, along with the deadline when each match must be played by. This deadline is FINAL. If a match is not completed before the deadline, it will not be counted.
This means that you play 1 game per week.
Score System
Our score system has changed a bit from the last cup.
We now use a mapwin system combined with a percenctage system.

All games will be played 4*15, and if the game is tied after 4 maps, a 5:th map will be played(15min). If a 5:th map has to be played, the clan with the best % from the previous 4 maps will get to choose map.(explained below)
You recieve 1 point for a map-win, so points for a game could be divided into 4-0, 3-1 or 3-2.
A map cannot be tied. Another round on the map will be added if so.

- Example's
Clan A plays Clan B
Clan A's homemaps is urban, urban2 and urban3
Clan B's homemaps is cliff, cliff2 and cliff3.

- Example 1
Clan A picks urban and urban2 while Clan B picks cliff and cliff2.
Clan A wins all 4 maps, and they get 4 points while Clan B get's 0 points.

- Example 2
Clan A picks urban2 and urban3 while Clan B picks cliff2 and cliff3.
Clan A wins 3 maps and Clan B wins 1 map. Clan A get's 3 points and Clan B 1 point.

-Example 3
Clan A picks urban and urban3 while Clan B picks cliff and cliff3.
Clan A wins urban with 10-4 and urban3 with 16-6. Clan B wins cliff with 5-4 and cliff3 with 10-7.
At urban: Clan A won ((10/(10+4))*100) ~ 71,4% of the rounds, Clan B ((4/(10+4))*100) ~ 28,6%.
At urban2: Clan A won ((16/(16+6)*100) ~ 72,8% of the rounds, Clan B ((6/(16+6))*100) ~ 27,2%.
At cliff: Clan A won ((4/(4+5))*100) ~ 44,4% of the rounds, Clan B ((5/(4+5))*100) ~ 55,6%.
At cliff3: Clan A won ((7/(7+10))*100) ~ 41,2% of the rounds, Clan B ((10/(7+10))*100) ~ 58,8%.
Overall Result: Clan A ((71,4 + 72,8 + 44,4 + 41,2)/4) ~ 57,45% of all rounds, Clan B ((28,6 + 27,2 + 55,6 + 58,8)/4) ~ 42,55%.
This means that Clan A has more % of all rounds, and therefor, clan A chooses last map, the 5:th.
And the only map left to choose for Clan A is urban2, and let's say Clan A won it by 12-7.
The points in this game would be divided like this: Clan A get's 3 points for winning 3 maps while Clan B get's 2 points for winning 2 maps.

Please note that we have created a calculator to calculate this so you don't have to worry about this.

If two clans jointly leads a group, the mutual game will decide.
Note that "jointly leading" means same points and no rounds will be counted.
General
Before the tournament each clan must chose three maps from all available official (AQMD) maps as their homemaps(including riot). Two homemaps will remain the same for the whole tournament(1 can be replaced between the group and playoff-stage), so choose them carefully.

All clanleader must also make sure that their player list is up-to-date. Any players not on that list may not participate in a match, unless the other clan agrees to let them play. If a player has to be added, contact a Head-Admin immidiately.

If a clan arranges a match and does not turn up, the clan present will get a default win(4p) unless the other clan has a very good reason for not turning up, or the clan present offers to play the match at another time.
If a match needs to be rescheduled, both clan leaders must contact an admin immidiately. This will enable us to reorganise an admin for the match. Any rescheduled matches must be completed before the deadline, as stated above.

Servers used will be one of NAQL's sponsored servers. All using TNG.

All matches must be adminned by a NAQL admin, listed on the crew page. To get an admin for your match, just contact one of the admins. No clan may admin their own matches. If an offical admin is not present, the match will be void, with both clans getting no points. We suggest you contact an admin well in advance. If you turn up and expect an admin to be available at short notice, you are likely to be disappointed.

Each clan has a wildcard during groupstage ONLY. The card means that you're allowed to postpone 1 game till another week.

Bad behaviour in NAQL will not be tolerated. Any abuse given to admins or other players will be delt with seriously. If a player is persistantly abusive or is very abusive in one game, they are likely to be banned. The length of the ban will depend on the level of abuse received and will be at the discretion of the council.

Cheating in NAQL is of course forbidden. Cheating is, but not limited to:
 - Use of speedhack, any proxies or aimbot, such as ratbot and zbot.
 - Use of script which gives them an unfair advantage over other players. (M4-script, crouchingscript etc.) Sniper Script is Allowed.
 - Use of fullbright-/glow- skins, modified map textures, hacked maps or spiked models.
Any player caught cheating in NAQL will be banned and named on the website. The ban will last from 1 game till full tournament-ban. If there are more people being banned from one clan during the season, it will result in the clan being disqualified for the season. If a player thinks something could be considered cheating, they must contact the admins to make sure. This includes any new console commands that alter the game seriously.

IN EVERY CHEATOCCASION THE ADMINS HAS THE RIGHT TO DECIDE WHATS BEST FOR EVERYONE. This could be just banning the player, banning the whole clan or replay the game.

During matches, an admin may ask for screenshots from any player. This is to check whether any players are using any visual cheats, including but not limited to edited skins and models. Any player refusing to give a screenshot will be banned for 1 match. If this happens on more than once occasion, the player will be banned from the the current season.

No specific tactics are banned from NAQL. We know that camping is annoying, however, it is still a valid tactic. Similarly, being shot whilst typing is also annoying but allowed; it is your own fault for typing and not playing. Therefore, any complaints regarding tactics are likely to be ignored. If they continue, or are considered abuse, the player will be warned and kicked if it continues.

Voice Communication Software, such as Roger Wilco or Battle Communicator, are allowed in NAQL.

Match Settings
At the start of each match, four maps will be chosen (two by each clan). The maps chosen will be from the clan's list of homemaps (One map will be from Clan A's List and the other will be from Clan B's List). These maps will be played with the following settings:

At the start of the match, the admin will toss a coin and ask a clan leader to call heads or tails. The clan leader who gets it right now gets the opportunity to EITHER choose what map taht will be played first OR what skin his clan will use(remains the same during the whole game).

When joining a team. The clanleader types captain and the substitutes types sub. The captain can now choose teamname br writing: teamname Clan Apes.
The only skins that is allowed to be used is the TNG CTF skins: male/ctf_r and male/ctf_b (Those can be downloaded here)

Standard teams is 5vs5. The minimum amount of players needed to play is 3 vs 3. If teams are unfair, the clan with more players must drop one player but no more. If a clan has less than three players, the other clan will receive a default win, however, if the clan has a good reason and the clan with the full team agrees, the match may be reseduled provided it is played before the deadline.
