LP for the Floyd up to this point. In the UK it would reach #6. Album Info: This album is the soundtrack to the film
"La Vallee". The ending vocals on "Absolutely curtains" are
by the characters from the film. The "La vallee" film debuted on
27/8/72 at the "Venice Film Festival", Venezia, Italy. The movie was
100:00 long and unfortunately only contained brief snippets of Pink Floyd songs. Like "More" three years earlier,
"Obscured By Clouds" was a Barbet Schroeder's film soundtrack which
saw the group eschewing their usual approach. Gilmour's grinding "Childhood's End"
and Waters' deliciously cynical "Free Four"
