Isak (Isack) Olsen Høyem (Hoyem) was born June 29th 1869 (photos of his parents and brother) in Byneset, a rural district in Sor-Trondelag county. He visited Norway, and his parental home in Byneset in 1930. He then also held a mass at the Byneset church (which, by the way, is from the 12th century!). He died in 1944.

The farm to the right (middle) is the farm where Isak was born. Photo taken in the 60s, I think.
The farm to the left, front, was the farm of Marit, Isak´s niece, and her husband.
An older photo below, where you can see Isak´s brother, Arnt, and his son, Arne
(who went to Seattle after his fathers death in 1922).
