CAST: Freaksaus the Lord Cartographer

DESCRIPTION:

Freaksaus is one of the more recent arrivals in the land of eGroups, but he swiftly made a name for himself due to his capacity with maps. He possesses something that he likes to call a cartographic memory (not photographic, but he can look at a landscape and memorise all significant topographical features swiftly and accurately).

Before arriving in Alfantol he had made a living as a junior wizard, working with a number of well-known alchemists and mechanically minded persons, but such peaceful attributes were not especially valued in the violent and war-ridden world of flames. Unfortunately, Freaksaus's upbringing was not particularly conducive to a life of trollslaying, and he has perfected the art of letting other people fight the monsters for him. Fortunately, he also has the knack of convincing people that they want to do this...and his skills are prized in the new settlement of Balrog Cuttings, where he runs the only shop, The Emporium (which sells useful items of his own devising) as well as charting the nearby lands.

HISTORY:

With Morwen, Karlingalas, Sunset, Paganini and Zorag, Freaksaus was transported to the world of Terra Hyeroniae by an interdimensional rift that appeared in Balrog Cuttings. Offering his services for repairing Queen Rabbyt's royal sceptre, he accompanied the expedition led by Paganini and Padgin to the castle library, where he quickly fell victim to the wizard's curse. Unable to perceive that the 'second library' was an illusion, he remained trapped in the library when Padgin, Paganini, Warren, Lord Adam and Rakeis made their escape. His fate is as yet unknown.
