CAST: Morgil Pimeestara the Dark Elf

'I bet you wouldn't look at a white guy like that!'
NAME: Morgil Pimeestara
AGE: Unknown
RACE: Dark Elf
PROFESSION: Expert on ancient weaponry and books
WORLD OF ORIGIN: Mezzobaritonellamanyahnyah
FIRST APPEARANCE: The Icing on the Cake

DESCRIPTION:

Morgil Pimeestara's skin is a dark CHOKLIT colour; he has silver hair, yellow cat-like eyes and delicately pointed ears. At his back are twin blades of ancient origin, which he wields with consummate skill when called upon to do so. He carries rope, crampons and other mountaineering equipment with him, as well as an assortment of cheap novels, and his precious Diary, in which he regularly records his idiosyncratic views on life.
In his own world he was something of an outcast, a Dark Elf with no great desire to perform bloodthirsty rituals or summon demons. Instead, he preferred to concentrate on improving his experience levels in a number of ways, acting and sounding suspiciously like a Hero. Not only did his own people eventually cast him out, but those whom he tried to serve and protect also took against him, constantly fearing that all his efforts were only an attempt to lure them into a false sense of security before stealing their gold and eating their children. This double rejection has, for want of a better word, coloured Morgil's attitude. He is constantly looking for something to be outraged against, and has a number of worthy causes on which he can declaim at great length.
It is Morgil's fervent wish to find a land where he will be accepted for who, and not what, he is; but until he learns to accept himself, he may find this difficult...

HISTORY:

After being transported into this world via a Rift, Morgil found himself trapped in a dungeon, from which he extricated himself using his mountaineering equipment. Not long afterwards, though, he found himself trapped inside a bundle of ropes following an encounter with an enchanted cake. Freed from his bonds by Warren, he immediately set about ranting about injustice, but Padgin treated his querulous complaints with scorn and shanghaied him into the procession to the throne room. Having paused to collect his thoughts and record them for posterity, Morgil advanced into a death-trap, but was saved by the calm obliviousness of Warren. The two followed Rakeis and Sir Confused-a-lot into the secret tunnels behind the throne, and faced off against an army of CHOKLIT mushrooms. Morgil was knocked out in a brave attempt to fend them off. Rakeis and Warren carried him away from the mushroom army, and Warren seemingly sacrificed himself in a desperate metafictional gambit that destroyed the bridge and left the others with nowhere to go. Teaming up with the party that had been sent to apprehend them, Morgil recognised among them his erstwhile mentor Count Tildanor, whom he had believed to be dead. He was not terribly pleased to find that he had been mistaken. Taking the long walk into the abyss, Morgil and the others found themselves once again meeting up with Leila, the Wizard With No Name and Lord Adam, and Morgil has now somehow ended up staying with Leila, WWNN, Paganini and Jared. Maybe the revolutionaries will be more to his liking than his previous companions.
