What is Princess Tutu?
This anime started airing on the 16th of August 2002 in Japan, together with another show.
It was originally meant to be a nice addition of the Kids-Station line-up, but it became so
loved that it was the best anime for everyone to watch for several months.
At many webpages, it says that the story is quite the same as in R. Girl Utena, but I don't agree in that.
The story is so original and different from many other anime made.
For instance, this is an anime about the 19th century. Animes with the stories in pre-modern age always, or very often seem to have modern things in them, like power and cars.

Such things does not appear here.
The only things that were a bit strange are often so common that you will notice it.
- And , if you thought that the first episode of Evangelion was confusing, just watch the first episode of Tutu, and get ready to get confused!
The one who doesn't pay really attention might get lost quickly.

Whatever anime type you like, Princess Tutu is a 'must see' for everyone!

This story takes place in the 19th century, in a town in Europe.
A legendary writer named Drosselmeyer, was known for his stories. That is, of course, a common knowledge of the people in this town. But what if the stories suddenly became true, and the characters suddenly appeared in the reality. What would they do, and how will they affect the stories, that was allready written?

nce upon a time, a man died. His work was creating stories to tell other people.
In defiance of his death in his last story was a brave and beautiful prince, who was supposed to defeat a monster raven. However, now there would never be a conclusion to their endless fight.
The raven did not like this. The prince did not like this.
The monster raven flew out of the story, and the prince ran after it. And then, the prince took out his own heart. Using a forbidden power, he sealed away the monster raven.
At the same time, 'Dark' came the mutter from somewhere by the man who should have been dead.

o, are you ready now - to hear the story ?
