Unitarian pastor in the USA. Born ? Died ? For some time part of
Kristofer Janson’s household
in Minneapolis.
18??: Directed the Minneapolis Unitarian church choir.
Summer 1844 he opened a Scandinavian-English evening school, Minneapolis. Further

Haugerud,
Herman
Unitarian pastor in the USA
and Norway. Born
October 7 1864 in
Kristiania (= Oslo,
Norway). Died
1937 (Oslo?). Emigrated from Kristiania to Chicago July 22 1886. 1886?-1890? he studied at Meadville Theological
School together with Johannes J. Bruti, and for one year at Harvard Divinity
School August 1892 to
May? 1893. Ordained as Unitarian minister December 3 1890. Before returning to
Norway to become Unitarian pastor of The Church of Brotherhood in Kristiania (1903-1937) he served as minister from October
1890 to August 1892 at Puyallup (Washington), from June 1 1893 to October 1
1895 at Rowe (Massachusetts), from October 13 1895 to May 28 1899 at
Minneapolis (Minnesota), from July 1899 to 1902 at Hudson (Wisconsin), and from
Januray 1 1902 to July 1 1903 at Walpole (Massachussets). Source: General Catalogue of Harvard Divinity School

Kristofer Nagel (1841-1917) greatly inspired by Viktor Rydberg’s book Bibelns lära om Kristus (1862, The Bible’s teaching on
Christ) broke with the Norwegian
State Church.

Bruti,
Johannes Jonnson
Unitarian pastor in the USA. Born 29 January 1857
in Bruti in Norway. Died in Oregon (USA) 9 April
1907. Married Andrea Jensine
Ellingsen from Trřndelag in
Norway.
They lived in the Midwest and later in Oregon.
Emigrated to America 1886. Studied
at Meadville Theological School
(1886) together with the Norwegian Herman Haugerud. Spring 1892 he served as Unitarian resident
minister at Underwood, Fergus Falls, Battle
Lake, and Tordenskiold,
all in Minnesota.
