Varde is music made by four strong and intuitive musicians – we’re expressing strength and trust in our experience of the moment, and use our instruments free and with no prejudice. When performing we have an enormous joy that touches our audience. During a concert with VARDE you will experience several different genres, but the bottom-line is improvisation and the ancient Nordic. Together in Varde we have free flow in a simple, clean soundscape, expressing joy, happiness and greatness! Singer Liv Nome uses a free-flowing technique for singing, and likes to call it Ur-Nordic vocal. She uses elements from folk tunes, throat singing and “joik” – an archaic, Saami way of chanting.

During 2008 Varde will release the album-serie "Waves Of Nature", wich concists of the albums "Sorg & Tale" (Sorrow and Speech), "Folk" (People) and "Grotte" (Cave). The first album is released 29. March at BPS Production.
